My Next Adventure

I am so very excited to share with all of you what has been consuming my free time as of late....
Having just signed up last week, my kitchen at the present time looks like an Arbonne Christmas exploded!
I was thrilled to come home to 4 lovely boxes filled with Arbonne goodies for my starter kit.
The products are even packaged pretty!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Arbonne, you seriously owe it to yourself to check it out!
For years I have been an avid supporter of their products and their promise to deliver pure, safe and beneficial products that uphold their botanical tradition.

It wasn't until just recently a family member (an area manager for Arbonne) asked me to take a closer look at the business side of Arbonne. My first thought was that I wouldn't be any good at it, or that I wouldn't have the time to start it up while working a 45+ hours a week job...but the more I looked into this incredible opportunity, the more I realized it was a tangible reality for me.  She gave me this video and it really made me think... why not? Why isn't that lifestyle and opportunity as available to me as it is to them?

Then I made My Soldier watch it. And read the pamphlets. And listen to the informational call.
His approval sealed the deal. So here I am!
Kickstarting a new home business, with a crazy work week that requires an hour drive both ways, a puppy who is in desperate need of training and excerise, and these insane migraines that have plagued me for the last 6 months.

And I'm loving it.

I am busting my hiney to get my calendar filled with party dates and new clients to order products.
This isn't a get rich quick scheme by any means, but it is a lifestyle worth the work.
Freedom of time, being my own boss, and being part of an organization that strives to bring beauty to the world inside and out. Not to mention their products are amazing quality.

I have the best intentions to spend a little more time around here...
Look for my new Arbonne page..it's in the making!

Guess How Much I Love You?

This past week my mama and I went on a shopping trip to the nearest outlets a couple hours from home. I was on the hunt for jeans. I hate jean shopping. Is there even any one out there who doesn't dread the experience? I have never met a woman who looks forward to the "joys" of finding perfect jeans- whether they are a size -2, 2 or 22. It's just not pleasant. In fact, usually I end with shoe shopping. Because shoes are always fun and fabulous!

However, this time I started my day the right way. I prayed. Now you may think praying for jeans is silly- but nothing is too small or too big for God. I often pray for small things- a parking space, a lost item to be found, the clock to slow down (I'm pretty much always 15 minutes late...) Though I don't always get the answer I want, I always get an answer.

Anyways back to the jeans- I prayed that I would find ONE pair that I loved. That fit, that weren't too long or too short (are there REALLY that many people who are 5'10 and need jeans a mile long? I am 5'7- not really that short- and I usually were heels with my jeans. It drives me nuts!) Oh- and I was really praying that I wouldn't have to sell my arm to find them. But I was almost willing to!

Can I tell you how much God is into details?
How he hears his children and responds? No matter how big or small their request? Ready for it?.... (imagine drum roll...) I found not one, not two, not even three... but FOUR!!! pairs of jeans that I LOVE. Now I realize I didn't really need four new pairs (well, actually it doesn't hurt since I was down to 1 pair since my dryer ate my other two pairs. thats another story though). However- these jeans were the right size and fit, not too long or too short, (ahem-sound familiar?) but the BEST PART??? I didn't even have to sell my pinky finger let alone my arm! I found the first pair for $20 bucks. Then second and third for $15 each. And the fourth for $3.50. Can you believe that? And to top it all- they were GAP JEANS. I love the Gap. Four pairs of jeans for a grand total of just under $60 bucks after tax.

God is SO into details.
He looked down and said "Guess how much I love you?"... "This much!" When was the last time you asked God for your every need- no matter how big or seemingly unimportant it may be? Do you watch and listen for his answer? Give it a try today- just wait to feel the security of his hug and hear him whisper- I love you this much....

Thursday's Monday

I'm finally returning to the bloggie-world! I could offer excuses for my absence such as cleaning house (yes- it took that long. TEN, yes TEN loads of laundry were piled in my bathroom. My hubby has enough ACU's to clothe a small company!), catching up on missed appointments, lazy days in the sun and a disfunctional computer (Can I just say that after spending an hour writing a heart-felt post, only to have it mysteriously disappear with no record of being written...is extremely frustrating). But enough with my excuses... I missed all of you!

Despite that I missed my Monday's Must Read- I must share it with you! As a graduation present, my parents bought me a Kindle (I LOVE it!) and my first kindle book purchase was
So Long Insecurity, You've Been a Bad Friend to Us by Beth Moore

Here's a quick review from Publishers Weekly
Prolific Bible teacher and women's ministry leader Moore (Get Out of That Pit) moves away from her characteristic dead-on expositions of scriptural principles in her newest; the topic is insecurity, and the content, she admits, is close to an autobiography. Moore, always transparent with her own personal struggles, is refreshingly so throughout this text. Readers will be chortling in laughter one moment and sucking air the next as Moore exposes the many faces of female insecurity. The author names and claims each one, then defuses every bit of power these nonsensical inner voices possess by countering their lies with God's truth. Women, no matter what their age, battle against advertising's siren call for unattainable physical perfection; the habit of making a man's love the ultimate validation; and the worldly definition of success as money, power, and status. Moore uses personal essays, women's true confessions, expressive prayers, and lots of commonsense suggestions to jar women out of their insecure rut. Readers will delve into this work and find themselves comfortably uncomfortable, and this is a very good thing. (Feb.)

I am still currently reading this book. And it's fabulous. I'm just beginning the 5th chapter, but already I am learning to take a new perspective. But more on that later. It needs a while to settle before I spill all. If I'm learning anything about my demented way of insecure thinking, it's that I'm clearly not the only one who struggles with confidence and self-esteem. We all do. So let's find the answer in His perfect acceptance and heal. Go on, check it out. You can find the book here or to learn more about letting go of insecurity visit Beth's website here.

MilSpouse Blog Carnival- Last Day!

I have had such a wonderful time blogging for the carnival this week and reading what all the other amazing wives have written. It has been wonderful to meet other milspouses in the faith!
Check them out here!

Today's topic is Where I Find My Strength

Ultimately, I find my strength in the Lord.
He is the only source of perfect light and love.
When I am weak, He is strong.
His hands are mighty enough to hold all my fears, insecurities and doubts.
His arms cradle me when I am lonely, sick and tired.
His words bring comfort, peace and stillness.
He will never leave me nor forsake me.
There is none like Him.

The Lord has also given me a Hero, to love and honor
Who is my other half, my best friend.
My Soldier brings me joy and security
I know I am safe by his side.
Come what may, we will endure together
This man I call my husband, he is the strength for my heart.
He leads me to the Father, where we draw strength together.

I am so blessed to have such beautiful friendships in my life.
Each of them hold a special place, unique to themselves.
I am so thankful for these woman.
They are the treasures in life.
They ones who answer tearful calls in the middle of the night
Who send you packages with pretty ones and fun tea cups
Who hear in the silence the exact words I cannot say
They are the ones who will last forever
Kindred spirits until the end.

Family. It cannot be described in words.
There are no measures for its loyalty
Love, understanding and sacrifice.
Family is home.
Home is comfort.
Comfort brings its own source of strength.

This is where I find my strength. This is where I find myself. This is where I find love.
